Many preachers have compromised their beliefs and may be nothing more than ministers of Baal. There are many pressures to being a preacher and most all make compromises. Over the years I have been amazed at how many times I have met preachers who have admitted that what they believe is not the same as what they preach. I realize that at least in some of those situations, the elders or leadership of the congregation may have known and approved.
The key seems to be a preacher who decides not to preach the Law of God or even a portion of God’s Law because preaching it will affect their job, reputation or the number of people who attend or listen to them. All of God’s Law is important and must be taught. Your preacher has likely had to make some compromises the longer he has been employed. When was the last time you heard a sermon that promoted God’s morals? When was the last time you heard a sermon on sin?
The last time for me was after a 40 minute sermon. I asked the preacher if he knew that the verse he used did not say in the Hebrew what he preached. He said yes, that he did know it. He lied. He deceived his flock. He was a lying shepherd.
Ezekiel 34:1-4 "And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying, Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Yahweh unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them."
