Are your morals from the Christian Bible or are they from society or political correctness? Are you sure?
If I use as an example the command “Thou shall not kill”, only the most left leaning politically correct person today would argue that there are times when murder, for that is what we are really discussing, would be acceptable. They have already been calling for the murder or re-education of political opponents, namely Christians. Most of us though would agree that murder is always wrong. Killing is only permitted as scripture judges.
How about Thou shall not commit adultery? This one may be more difficult for Christians to believe. In the Hebrew and Greek the word translated adultery means to adulterate, to mix, to miscegenate. At this point many Christians will have a reaction to the idea that mixed race “marriages” are not marriages at all before God. Scripture in fact calls for the death penalty for intercourse between the races.
My preacher has never taught that will be one response. Another having nothing to do with marriage is “We are all one in Christ”. By the way, if that were a valid response then one should consider that men can marry men and women can marry women. The reason your preacher was not taught this is two fold. One is the tax status 501c3. Churches are not required to have it and at one time it was the wrong status for churches. Regardless it requires that any teaching done from that church not violate public policy. Same sex and interracial “marriages” are public policy.
Your preacher at your 501c3 tax churches may speak against public policy, but let me tell you what can and has happened. A visitor may come in and tape record your preacher teaching against same sex marriage or find some literature against it. Monday morning he goes down to the IRS and files a complaint against your church. If found true the IRS can take everything. They can seize all assets of your church. To add insult to injury, the guy who turned your church in, gets ten percent of the proceeds.
So why send out newly trained preachers ready to lose it all. The other reason it may not be taught is that because one hundred years ago no one in their right mind would have even suggested same sex or interracial marriages. To preach against either would have been considered redundant and disgusting.
Either way the Hebrew and Greek tell us the truth. Adultery includes miscegenation. The Hebrew word translated bastard has the meaning to alienate, a mongrel. Between those two words and several other instances, some hidden in the Greek throughout the scripture no one would ever consider either interracial “marriage” nor same sex “marriage” as righteous.
Let me suggest one find the article “What is a Cake Not Turned” here at this site. Also watch in scripture for all the occurrences of mixed or mingled people. Here is what the Greek actually says in one verse.
Philippians 2:15 “That you may be blameless and unmixed, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the middle of a crooked and perverse race, among whom you shine as lights in the world.”
