The Law of God is not “Done Away”.

Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”

Some teach that the Word of God, The Law of God has been done away. This is blasphemy.

Matthew 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill (do it).”

Those who teach that God ended His Law use the above verse when it plainly teaches the opposite. They ignore the next two verses and Christ’s own explanation of what He fulfilled. Luke 24:44 says that Christ fulfilled or did all that the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms said that He would accomplish.

There is a huge disconnect of logic to believe the Law is done away. Without God’s Law there is no grace, no new covenant and no Savior. Christ condemned any who would ignore the writings of Moses.

John 5: 46-47 “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”

Any who say God’s Law is ended thus do not believe Moses and thus can not know Christ. Paul was not double minded. If you think Paul said the following and yet said God’s Law is done away, then you are misunderstanding Paul. Note the verb tense.

Romans 7:2 “Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”
