If the Law of God was done away with then there is no longer sin.
Romans 7:8b “For apart from the law, sin is dead.”
However Paul, who was instructed according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers said,
“Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.” Romans 7:12.
If God’s Law is done away, then why did Christ die for our sins? All that had to be done was remove the Law of God.
Romans 5:13b “but sin is not charged when there is no law.”
Since none of us were born during the time before Christ’s death then none of us have ever sinned if there is no Law. Over simplified yes, but it makes the same amount of sense as those who teach the Law is ended.
“Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.” Matthew 5:17
What did Christ fulfill? Christ didn’t come to destroy the law, but to do it. Christ did all that was prophesied by the Law and the Prophets. Christ fulfilled prophecy. Keep all of this in mind when reading Galatians and Romans chapters 8 and 10. Paul is not double minded.
