Taking Responsibility

Someone on line went beyond what scripture says and claimed that Bathsheba was to blame in the matter with King David. So I was thinking about what would upset people the most if this had happened today.

It wouldn’t be the murder of Uriah or the adultery. That sort of thing is on television all the time. If it were publicly known it would be a scandal alright, but people watch violence and sex on TV and movies. Those are problems, but those wouldn’t be the worst problem.

David did not compound his sin against God. He did the right thing. He took responsibility for his actions. He took Bathsheba as a wife and took responsibility for the child. That is what people in the churches today would be the most upset about.

It is the world’s feminism that fights against God’s Patriarchy.

2 Samuel 12:13 “And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against Yahweh. And Nathan said unto David, Yahweh also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
