Following the Wide Path

Acts 17:6 has the people of Thessalonica claiming that those who were teaching Christianity were turning the world upside down.

Matthew 7:14 “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

Are “Christians” who are teaching the same acceptance and tolerance as the world teaching Christianity or have they become friends of the world.

“Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4b.

It is good to question your beliefs if you find yourself believing the same thing those do who hate Christ. It is good to question your beliefs if you find yourself believing doctrines that the majority of “Christianity” teaches. You may find yourself fighting against Christ. One day Christ will say,

“But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” Luke 19:27.

but what things and doctrines would these be?

    • Tim says:

There are so many! The sinner’s prayer and the way accept Jesus into your hear is taught. There is an example to follow in scripture. My background taught non-instrumental singing only. Many churches are accepting sodomy now. God Loves Everyone. You must love everyone, including God’s enemies. Today’s Jews are Israel. That is a few and there are many more that come about by spiritualizing verses. Tim

The idea that the state or a priest has the power to make two people married is one of the worst. This belief also created gay “marriage.”

        • Tim says:

Yes, only God has the authority to marry two people. Yes the first state marriage license in the US was created to allow types of marriage God would not allow. Why should it be any different today?
