Most Christians have been taught to ignore a lot of scripture. They know so little of it, they do not realize that much new testament scripture has an old testament connection.
Acts 17:26 has been hijacked by churches to mean something never intended.
These two verses go together.
Acts 17:26 “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation”.
Deuteronomy 32:8 “When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.”
Though commonly taught today, the idea that all have the same blood is not true. Many learned that in biology class. Acts 17:26 is not all inclusive. It’s concern is the many nations of Israelites as promised by God. Why does it not use the term Israel? Because at that point the Ten Tribes had lost the right to be called Israel. Scripture refers to them as nations [incorrectly Gentiles]. They were already being grafted back into the Commonwealth of Israel as promised in Hosea and shown in Romans 11 and Ephesians 2.
True bible understanding only comes from the entire book, both testaments together. In the Hebrew and Greek there is unity of faith and morality.
