John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the Word of God. The Word contains our history and the Law of God. He is our Kinsman Redeemer.
There are those who say the Law is done away. This also does away with Christ, if that were possible.
There are those who say the old Law is gone, but replaced by new Law. Ignoring the fact that they are the same this teaches that there is a God of the old testament and a new God of the new testament. We only worship one God who is the God of the whole bible.
Most false doctrines have their root in man’s desire to make his own rules. Here are Christ’s own words that include the future.
Matthew 5:19 “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
