Every Word – Glory

A lot has been written and even movies made showing the importance of every word and that there can be hidden meaning in every word in the Bible. At the same time many things that are not hidden are not understood or ignored. Many have been taught to ignore the Bible’s own definition for terms.

The Bible defines its own terms. Scripture defines the word Glory when it is used for a people. “Israel my Glory”. True Israel is God’s glory. It is still Israel and only Israel. There is no scripture that changes or modifies this. Preachers are known to ignore the context and give the term to other people. It does help in understanding this if you have the correct people. Those who make the claim are not God’s glory.

Isaiah 46:13 “I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.”

Romans 9:4 “Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises”.

All of the above terms are defined by scripture as for God’s true physical Israel.

Daniel 2:44a “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people”.
