Lucifer is not Satan

Based on the Hebrew word meaning.

Isaiah 14:12 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O shining one, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

The Hebrew word translated lucifer was translated from a word that described the king of Babylon. This verse is found in the middle of a discourse on the king of Babylon. “The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.”, Isaiah 13:1. Nebuchadnezzar was the one who fell when he was driven from men. Read verses 11 and 13 of chapter 14 for helpful context.

Context is very important in understanding scripture.
