What We Believe vs What Scripture Says.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not have eternal life in torture, but have eternal life (in peace, joy and love).”

Hmmmm, what does John 3:16 really say?

Off topic to this Article, so I apologize for that.

I am in a debate with a judeo and he cites Jeremiah 13:23 as proof text that Moses married a black woman.

Of course I don’t believe this one passage proves anything; but I would like to have a response.

Do you have a critique of Jeremiah 13:23? What is the context; Who is the Ethiopian in this context etc., etc.

    Appreciate your help. Roy

Hi Roy, There are two ways to deal with this. One is that the Hebrew word was Cush not Ethiopia. This is the case for both Jeremiah 13:23 and Numbers 12:1. There were relatives descended from a Cush through Ham so they would have been the same race as Ham who was the same race as Noah. Now if they believe that the races came from pure bread Noah then I would take them to the Book of Jasher, chapter 73. http://www.gospelminutes.org/jasher.php In that article it is shown that Moses was given a wife that he never interacted with at all. It may have been that this information was found out when Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses. It was wrong because Moses did not have relations with the woman of Cush. Hope that helps.
