No Law, No Sin

If the Law of God was done away with then there is no longer sin.

Romans 7:8b “For apart from the law, sin is dead.”

However Paul, who was instructed according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers said,

“Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.” Romans 7:12.

Keep this in mind when reading Romans chapters 8 and 10. Paul is not double minded.

Every Wind of Fake Morality

I get a little chuckle when someone publicly acts all upset over a report about a Christian teaching the Laws of God. Yahweh God’s morals and principles have only been taught for most of the last 7,000 years. People act like they have never heard them before and are offended.

While preachers have been slowly watering them down for the last fifty years, it still is the same Law. Much of that Law is for our good health and protection.

Where does your morality come from, political correctness, your friends, the news media? Unlike those, Yahweh God’s morality never changes. The source of your morality is your god. Many Christians unknowingly reject God’s morality because they do not know God’s Law, the source of His morality.

Jesus Christ is the God of the whole Bible. Christ did not do away with His own morals.

I feel bad for those who’s morals change from time to time. They never know when they wake up the next day if they are supposed to be upset about something or not until they check with their source of morality. Their morality is always based on lies.

Study to show yourselves approved so that you

Ephesians 4:14-15 “… may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ”.

God Disciplines His People

People make a false assumption that God will always bless and protect them regardless of what they believe, what they say or what they do.

Have things not been going so well with health, family or finances?

God does discipline! Pay attention to God’s word and Law first.

2 Samuel 24:14 “David said to Gad, “I am in distress. Let us fall now into the hand of Yahweh; for his mercies are great. Let me not fall into the hand of man.””

By the way, it is a good indicator that if you see people prosper from doing evil, then they likely are not God’s people.

God’s Calendar vs the Jews Calendar

When the remnant of the house of Judah returned from Babylon they brought back corruption. That is where Phariseeism began. One corruption was the naming of the months. This included the figuring of days, times and events such as Passover based on the moon. Yahweh God’s first month of the year is Abib.

Deuteronomy 16:1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to Yahweh your God; for in the month of Abib Yahweh your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night.

Nissan was the first month of the year in Babylon. When Israel lived in Babylon they had to go by the local calendar, To bring that calendar back with them was a violation of Yahweh God’s command. God’s calendar is based on the Sun. The day began with light. Babylon and the Pharisees used a calendar based on the moon. The day began with darkness at sunset. God’s calendar is simple and easy for anyone to follow. The Babylonian calendar is complex and can sometimes have 13 months in a year. This is why you find phrases such as:

John  2:13 “The Passover of the Judeans (Jews) was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.”

It is the difference between light and darkness, day and night, life and liberty in God or sin and death in outer darkness.

The Promise made to Abraham, but Not Abram

The promises to Abram concerning Ishmael were different than the promises made to Abraham concerning Isaac.

Genesis 17:7 “I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you.”

Yahweh never promised to be the God of Ishmael. Isaac was the child of promise for Abraham.

Sabbath on the New Earth

2 Peter 3:13 “But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.”

We do not live on the new or renewed earth where righteousness dwells. The wicked still inhabit the earth.

Isaiah 66:22-23 “For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me,” says Yahweh, “so your offspring and your name shall remain. It shall happen that from one new month (chodesh) to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before me,” says Yahweh.”

I don’t claim to know the future, but it does appear that we will observe the Sabbath in the next age.

Hebrews 4:9 “There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.”

God’s Calendar

The Scriptural Sabbath is not necessarily on Saturday.

Keeping Yahweh God’s calendar is not possible for us at this time. The actual Sabbath may be Monday one year and then Tuesday the next year as the annual count always starts with the beginning of Spring. The best we can do is take 24 hours every seven days for rest.

Hebrews 4:9 “There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.”

Sabbath in the New Covenant

Matthew 24:20 “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day”.

Surely Christ as God knew that AD 70 would be well into the new covenant time and there would be no Sabbath?

Hebrews 4:9 “There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.”

Translators Promote Church Doctrine over Truth

Luke 23:56 “And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment.”

Didn’t they know that with the death of Christ there was no more Sabbath? Also, one can not ignore, “according to the commandment”. Scripture is very precise with wording. If the Scripture called a day the Sabbath, even in the new covenant time, then it was a Sabbath. Scripture is very precise with wording. If the Scripture acknowledged the commandment, then it had not ceased to exist. Remember, the phrase “first day of the week” is really “first of Sabbaths” in the Greek text. The first of Sabbaths was a specific Sabbath in the Spring of the year. The translators added the words day and week. The Translators removed the word Sabbath. The translators promoted church doctrine over truth.

Hebrews 4:9 “There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.”

By Design

How many sheep did Noah take on the ark?

Fourteen, that is seven male and seven female sheep.

Genesis 7:2 “You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.”

Noah knew about the clean and unclean animals. That was a long time before Moses. Yahweh God’s design and purpose for this world have never changed. The design of animals that are clean and can be eaten still have that purpose. Animals that were made to clean the earth still have that purpose and have never changed. God’s morals have never changed. We worship a moral God with a plan.
