Who Chooses Who?

“Jesus told His disciples, “Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you…”(John 15:16). This is a subjective statement, and not an objective one. This becomes a matter of doctrine. Do you follow the “people choosing God” notion, or do you surrender to the scriptural “people chosen of God” doctrine? Your answer will determine whether you think the word “whosoever” applies to anyone who confesses Christ (the people choosing God notion), or whether you embrace the revealed, “people chosen of God doctrine.” A. Kennedy.

So when one reads a verse that says Whosoever, Everyone or All one must keep in mind that the scripture teaches that ultimately God is the one who chooses. The context of scripture is exclusive, not inclusive.

John 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

A Very Brief History of the World in Scripture

God chose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Isaac chose Esau, but Esau despised his birthright. Esau gave his seed to forbidden people breaking God’s Law. Isaac should have then given the blessing to Jacob. Rebekah and Jacob tricked Isaac to make sure the blessing went to Jacob. God renamed Jacob Israel. Israel means “Ruling with God”. From this point on to the end of Revelation, the scripture is about God and Israel. God even married Israel as a people and is remarrying Israel today as they become Christians. Esau hates God. God hates Esau. Esau hates Jacob. Everything that is going on today has to do with Esau trying to destroy Jacob/Israel.

Esau is Edom, Genesis 36. “Edom is in modern Jewry”, Jewish Encyclopedia, 1925 edition, Vol. 5, p. 41.

Scripture says that Israel would not know who they were in the later days and that Israel would take the Gospel to the world while forming many Christian nations. All of this has happened.

Our job today is to help Israel remember who they are and that they need to obey God’s Law. True physical Israel is today found as the Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Celtic, Scandinavian and related peoples.

God’s Law is not “Done Away”

In the New testament, the same Greek word is translated testament and covenant.

If you are by Biblical definition a Christian then you have God’s Law written on your heart and in your mind. You can try to ignore it, but you can not get rid of it. You can say God’s Law is done away, but it will still be on your heart. There is only one way for you do do away with God’s Law.

1 Timothy 4:2 “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron”.

Hebrews 10:16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my Laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them”.

The Law and the Prophets Teach about God.

God is Love. God is Righteous. God is Just. God is Merciful.

Deuteronomy 4:8 “And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?”

Christ and the apostles taught God’s Law. Christ said that if you don’t believe Moses you can not believe Christ.

John 5:45-47 “Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”

Many Christians have been taught to not believe Moses when they are taught that God’s Law is done away.

Even Paul went so far as to say that if you don’t believe God’s Law you can not know Christ.

Galatians 3:24 “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”

Uncle

I have said in the past that there was no Hebrew word for uncle. That was true before Israel spent four hundred years in Egypt.

Abraham’s brother, Haran, had three children, Milcah, Lot and Sarah. At that time it was common to refer to nephews and nieces as brothers and sisters. Lot is called Abraham’s brother and his brother’s son in scripture.

Genesis 11:27-30  Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot. And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees. And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah. But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

Here is a similar passage from Jasher.

Jasher 9:14 And Haran, the son of Terah, Abram’s oldest brother, took a wife in those days. Haran was thirty-nine years old when he took her; and the wife of Haran conceived and bare a son, and he called his name Lot. And she conceived again and bare a daughter, and she called her name Milca; and she again conceived and bare a daughter, and she called her name Sarai. Haran was forty-two years old when he begat Sarai, which was in the tenth year of the life of Abram; and in those days Abram and his mother and nurse went out from the cave, as the king and his subjects had forgotten the affair of Abram.

Jasher 12:44 And at that time Nahor and Abram took unto themselves wives, the daughters of their brother Haran; the wife of Nahor was Milca and the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai. And Sarai, wife of Abram, was barren; she had no offspring in those days.

It may have been a common practice for a man’s brother to marry one or more of his daughters. Scripture allows it. The practice kept the family close and a man always knew his daughters were being protected. We know it happened. Here is the Hebrew word translated uncle.

H1730
From an unused root meaning properly to boil, that is, (figuratively) to love; by implication a love token, lover, friend; specifically an uncle.
Total KJV occurrences: 61

Interesting. Reading all the verses with the word bears it out. Here is one of many excamples.

2 Kings 24:17  And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father’s brother(H1730) king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

In the Song of Solomon the Shulamite calls her lover using the same Hebrew word here translated as My Beloved.

Song of Solomon 2:10  My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

Traditionally in Patriarchy there is a special relationship between a man’s children and his siblings. It is only in recent years that the media and sin have cast this relationship in a bad light. Television and movies have gone out of their way to make even love between parents or any older adults seem disgusting to teens. Remember that both Abraham and Isaac married a niece. I am writing about a time when men were moral and of good character. Because of much sin in our society today I must emphasize that the love being discussed is between those who are of the scriptural age of accountability or deemed mature enough to be accountable.

National Revival

It will never be the religious leaders who bring national revival.

What happened when Christ came? Some wise men came and inquired about the birth of the Christ. Never once does the scripture suggest that any of the religious leaders investigated what the wise men said. Later when Christ was teaching the religious leaders were only concerned about their position.

John 11:48  If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

Later when the Apostles were preaching it was much the same.

Acts 4:21  So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

The miracles performed by Christ and His Apostles only concerned them because it might affect their position of leadership and the status quo.

This is also the why behind new information being introduced to most “Christian” churches today is rejected. It destroys the status quo and usually ends up with the preacher losing his income, half the congregation leaving or both.

The best example we have in scripture of a religious revival besides Christ was with King Hezekiah. Read the version of the story in 2 Chronicles 28 – 30. No, he wasn’t perfect. Recently we’ve had a president that disturbed the status quo. He isn’t perfect either as his ties to those who are anti-Christ is strong. He did put money toward religious freedom and removed money from evil. Much of that has now been undone.

Remember it is God who saves. God does use men, but it is still only God who saves.

More on Adulteration

In several previous posts I have shown that the Scripture teaches that marriage to someone who is not of your own race is adultery. It is the sin of miscegenation. It destroy’s one’s heritage.

There are many verses in both old and new testaments that teach race mixing as sin. Most don’t see it because of the wording used or the meaning is hidden in the translation. In the Hebrew and Greek it is impossible to miss. Here is another example.

Hosea 5:7 “They have dealt treacherously against Yahweh: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.”

After the condemnation found in chapter four Ephraim is singled out as committing whoredom.

Hosea 5:3 “I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.”

Whoredom is translated from a Hebrew word that means adultery. In verse 7 above the word “strange” also has the meaning “to commit adultery”. The act of having strange or profane children is an act of adulteration. The condemnation of Ephraim’s behavior continues in chapter 7 as previously noted.

One of the reasons God divorced the Ten Northern Tribes and sent them into a temporary captivity under Assyria was interracial “marriage”. The modern day Jews are not Israel.

For Best Results Teach only God’s Law

John 5:8 “Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.”

Jesus healed a man and then told him to take his mattress and walk.

The Pharisees said that was a Sabbath violation. Christ never taught against God’s Law, Christ’s own Law. The Pharisees added their tradition to the Law of God. The Sabbath Day’s journey is an example. God’s Law nowhere includes any statute about how far one is to travel on a Sabbath. The idea is to rest, not travel on the Sabbath. This was Pharisaical tradition added to promote violation of God’s Law.

The Pharisees taught their own version of the Law. That is very common today as many churches add their own ideas for membership, doctrine and tradition.

To Whom was the Book of Ephesians Written

The seemingly obvious answer would be, “The Ephesians of course.” The next question should be, “Who were the Christians living at Ephesus?” Paul does not make us guess. Here is how we know and this can be done with almost every New Testament book.

Ephesians 1:1 “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:”

The first thing to do is to look at the meanings of the words used in any verse. Who are the “saints” mentioned in verse one. We have all been given a definition by the churches. You can go look them up, but who does the scripture say are the saints? Sacred and to be clean are the meanings of the word concerning this people. Reading further we find several key words.

Ephesians 1:5 “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Predestined means to determine before hand. Adoption in scripture is a coming of age ceremony, a placement of one who is and has been a son.

Romans 8:29-30 “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

Whom did God foreknow?

Romans 11:2a “God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.”

So those who are predestined and were foreknown by God are Israel. Romans 8:29-30 mentions some who are Called.

Isaiah 48:12 “Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.”

So we know that those “Predestined”, those “Foreknown” and “The Called” are Israel. What about the adopted mentioned in Ephesians 1:5?

Romans 9:4 “Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises”.

Paul says they are Israelites. No other people are ever said to be adopted by scripture. Paul gave us the definition of who are adopted. Therefore any verse using the word adopted must be understood that way. The churches teach differently. Who do you believe? Finally for this article the word redemption.

Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

According to the Law of the Kinsman redeemer one must be related by blood for one to be redeemed or to redeem another from bondage. Paul also talks about bondage in Romans 8:15 and 8:21. The scripture went to great lengths to show that the Christ is related by blood to Israel.

This is how one improves understanding of scripture. There are many verses in scripture that we have been taught to read in the broad sense of everyone, everywhere. One must use scripture’s definitions. There is more in Ephesians. The word aliens in Ephesians 2:12 is a verb. Who was alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and became far off as opposed to near? Who became known as Nations (Gentiles) as is explained elsewhere? In the Old Testament what people became divided and then were promised in Hosea to reunite under Christ as is shown in Ephesians? Israel. The two houses of Israel, the House of Israel, the Ten Tribes, and the House of Judah, the two tribes. Ephesians is the answer to prophecy concerning Israel and only Israel.

By the way, in Ephesians 1:5 the word children is not found. Christ himself defined the word children as Israelites. In Matthew 15:24-26 Christ tells us his purpose and in John 8 who are the children.

The words Jew and Gentile are never once found in the Hebrew or Greek text. The modern day Jews are not Israelites. Who is Israel? Who do the prophets of God say? Israel was prophesied to do many things among which were the spreading of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God while forming many Christian nations. Only one people have accomplished this task. True physical Israel is found in the Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Scandinavian, Celtic and related peoples.

The Modern Day Jews are not Biblical Israelites.

“Yes they are” someone will now and then respond. Prove it is an obvious response to them, but I will try to help you. I will try to point you toward some of the research that you will need to take into account to disprove my statement above.

First of all in order to prove that the modern day Jews are Israelites one will have to debunk the 1976 New York Times best seller titled “The Thirteenth Tribe”, by Jewish author Arthur Koestler. In that book he showed that up to ninety percent of Eastern Jewry and thus world Jewry today are “of Khazar-Turkish, rather than Semitic origin.” These Jews are known as Ashkenazi Jews because they are reported to stem from Japheth’s grandson named Ashkenaz, a son of Gomer.

One would also need to dispute Jewish author Alfred Lilienthal’s book, “What Price Israel”. In it he claims that the Khazars are the lineal ancestors of Eastern European Jewry as an historical fact. There are several other Jewish and non-Jewish authors one would need to set straight if one were to prove the modern day Jews are Israelites.

One would also need to disprove King Joseph from over one-thousand years ago. He traced their ancestry not to Shem, but to Japheth’s grandson, Togarmah, the ancestor of all Turkish tribes. Joseph stated, “We have found in the family registers of our fathers, that Togarma had ten sons. We are the sons of Khazar, the seventh”.

One would need to disprove the Jewish Almanac. “Strictly speaking, it is incorrect to call an ancient Israelite a ‘Jew’ or to call a contemporary Jew an ‘Israelite’ or a ‘Hebrew.'” “The Jewish Almanac”, Compiled and Edited by Richard Siegel and Carl Rheins (New York: Bantam Books, 1980) 3

One would also need to disprove the Jewish Encyclopedia. Although it is found in several different years I quote from the 1925 edition, Vol. 5, p. 41, which says, “Edom is in modern Jewry.” Genesis 36 twice tells us that “Esau is Edom”. Malachi and Paul in Romans both tell us that God hates Esau. God has a perpetual enmity with Edom. If that wasn’t bad enough the Encyclopedia Judaica 1971, 6, column 379 says “Edom is the eternal enemy of Israel and Judah”. These people whom God hates make up roughly nine percent of modern Jewry.

In the Bible the term Jew is never once found in the Hebrew and Greek text. In the old testament the word should have been translated as Judah. There was the tribe of Judah and the House of Judah, making up the two Southern tribes of Israel. In the new testament the word should have been translated as Judea, as Strong’s concordance adds “as in country”. The general term included all who lived in Judea many of whom were not Israelites.

In fact we see that there were two major groups of people living in or near Judea. The first group were of Israel, about whom the bible says, “And the common people heard him gladly.” The other group were living in Judea because of a mistake made by John Hyrcanus. These are the people who were constantly challenging Christ and plotted for Christ’s death. These people admitted they were not Israelites, but rather of Esau-Edom. Remember that most of Esau’s children were also Canaanites. Christ many times told them that they could not hear His voice because they were not His sheep, Israelites. They told Christ that they were of Abraham.

John 8:33 “We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man.”

Christ told them that they were Abraham’s seed, but not Abraham’s children. The seed included Esau. By scriptural definition, the children only came from Jacob. The phrase stating that they were never in bondage to any man was only true of Esau’s children. Israel had been in bondage many times starting with Egypt.

The next time you are reading the first ten chapters of John, note how many times scripture says that one group heard Christ’s words and believed. In the book of Acts many of these became known as Christians. Note also how many times a different group heard Christ speak and hated His words. These same people’s descendants make up nine percent of today’s modern Jews.
