Jacob and Esau came from the same DNA, but their actions made a difference. Their own actions built their house or destroyed it.
Romans 9:13 “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”
Jacob believed and obeyed God.
Esau despised his birthright committing fornication and adulteration.
Jasher 28:20a “And Esau was a designing and deceitful man, one who hunted after the hearts of men and inveigled them”.
Inveigled means to persuade, lure, or entice someone into doing something using cleverness, flattery, or deception. It often implies talking someone into an action they otherwise wouldn’t have taken.
The literal translation means that Esau “stole their minds”, (Emry). Edom is still doing this today.
Genesis 25:23 “And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.”

Genesis 27:29-41 “And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above; And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.”
And Esau is still trying to kill Jacob today. They are easy to find today because of bible promise. Jacob’s children are Christians. Esau’s children were called children of the devil by Christ. They hate Christ and kill Christians.
